“SALVATION IN THREE TENSES”- It liberates and delivers the true believer
Titus 2:11- 14- For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, 12 Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; 13 Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; 14 Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works.
1. The true believer has been saved (free) from the guilt and penalty of sin, and is safe.
Micah 7:18-20; Romans 6:23
2. The true believer is saved (free) from the habit and dominion of sin.
Romans 6:1-22; Colossians 3:5-9; 1 John 3:4-10
3. The true believer is saved in the sense of entire conformity (made in likeness) to Christ Jesus. Romans 12:1-2, 9-21; Philippians 2:1-5, 12-16, 2 Corinthians 5:17
Salvation came to us by the grace of God, which must be received or accepted by faith. It is a free gift. The divine order is: salvation receive through faith (obedience) to the will of God.
(James 1:21-25; Acts 2:38, Acts 2:21)
